See where your browser time really goes.

TabStyr quietly measures active time per tab and site, then turns it into a calm dashboard — trends, an activity heatmap, focus scoring, and gentle stale-tab nudges. Every byte stays on your device.

What it does

Everything you need to understand your time — nothing you didn't ask for.

Active-time tracking

Per tab and per site, second by second. Background audio is counted separately, so totals never exceed real time at the screen.

Trends & comparison

Day / week / month activity trends, plus this-week-vs-last-week by category.

Focus measure

Your own split of productive and distracting time. You choose which categories count and set your own target.

Activity heatmap

Which hours of which days you actually browse — at a glance.

Auto-categorized

Work, Dev, Social, Media and more — recognized automatically. Re-classify any site with one click.

Encrypted backups

Export your full history as JSON, optionally passphrase-encrypted (AES-256-GCM). Restore on any device.

How it works

From install to insight in three steps

No setup, no account, no config to get right.

  1. Add it to your browser

One click from the Chrome Web Store or Firefox Add-ons. No sign-up. Every permission is explained in the privacy policy, and none of them can read page content.

  2. Browse like you normally do

TabStyr tracks active time in the background — idle-aware, audio-aware, entirely on-device.

  3. Open the dashboard whenever

Trends, heatmap, focus score, and a full breakdown — right there, nothing to sync or wait for.

For freelancers, researchers and remote work

What did I work on today?

TabStyr turns each day's browsing into a short report of the sites you used. Paste it into a standup, a timesheet or your research notes.

Example

Today — you spent 6h 10m across 4 sites.

  1. github.comDev2h 40m
  2. docs.google.comWork1h 55m
  3. scholar.google.comWork1h 05m
  4. youtube.comMedia30m

A daily report, ready to share

Open the dashboard at the end of the day and the list is already there. No timers to start or stop.

  • Every site you used that day, with its category and active time
  • Copy it as plain text with one click
  • Export the day as CSV, or as a PNG report card
  • Go back to any of the last 90 days
Glance from anywhere
